there will be a kids fishing day at the Leavenworth Fish Hatchery from 9:00am
to noon. Each participant must pay $5.00
for which they’ll receive a rod, reel and “T” shirt. Volunteers are needed. You might want to bring along a pair of nail

Assembly: In the past there has been a day set aside to
assemble the 500 poles for the kids fishing day at
Kids Camp: Applications and other info are available
from Gordy Goodwin for the kid’s summer camp on
Department Report: Big Game season and rules will be out
Tuesday, May 15.
Special permit applications will be
available May 15 and due no later than June 28.
Please do not wait till June 28 to submit applications because the
system can get overwhelmed and might not be able to accept the application.
Once your special hunt application is
submitted successfully a confirmation number will be displayed. Write or print out this number for future
reference. To access your information
entered you will need to wait at least 24 hours to allow your application to be
brought into the special permit drawing system.
Verification of information submitted can be done online through http://wdfw.wa.gov/cgibin/shp_tmp/permit.cgi using your WILD ID number

Free fishing weekend is June 9th
and 10th.
May Program:
Nathan Pamplin (WDFW) who is an expert on tribal issues will speak to us
about tribal interaction, court cases and other tribal issues.
June
Program: This program will be on “Eyes In The Woods”. This
will be a 1 ½ hour long program training us on how to better collect evidence
on law violating situations. A
detective it does not make us --- just evidence collectors, should the case
go to court.
This
meeting is free and will be opened to the public. So bring your wife, neighbor or friends to
the training. This meeting date and time
will be listed in the new hunting pamphlet coming out soon as well.
