We just spent a couple of days at Ell Lake in the Aeneus Valley. It is a selective gear fishing lake & excellent for fly fishing, if you hit it when the fish are on the bite. It can run hot or cold depending on weather, hatch, time of day, etc. We had some fun dry fly fishing on a couple of evenings, but also had times when we couldn't buy a strike. The fish are nice big fiesty Rainbows.
