| You've got to be hunting right now!!!! There are so many birds out there that you shouldn't be at home. The Columbia Basin is full of Birds!!! If you're not hunting you should be in Seattle where they don't have the chances that we do go hunting. It is an area of the state that you have to go spend some time in. I have been hunting the Columbia basin for more than 20 years and it is getting to be just like it was when I hunted it with my father, birds and more birds. The water fowl need to be controled1!!!!! I have been out the last three weeks and I keep seeing more birds than I remember since I was young. There are birds from the Columbia river to Winchester Wasteway to the canals leaving Moses Lake.(Don't forget about the Frenchman Hills Wasteway also). Now that is has gotten cold the birds are looking for moving water and food close bye.(Water that is not moving is frozen unless is has a spring in it). I'm not using a lot of decoys yet but the time is near. Need to find an area that is close to food that the birds are eating at. That takes some scouting and a little bit of work. I know that it is hard to not go hunting one day to find the birds but the end result is worth it. If you need some pointers don't be shy, I will help as much as I can. I have many spots out there that I can't hunt so I can save you some time if you'd like to go without all the scouting and work. Till next time good hunting.
