General Meeting: December 16, 2008 Steel Workers Hall – 180
Rock Island Road – East Wenatchee
Game Feed Date Change: Our 2009 game feed has had
to be moved to a weekend date, due to a booked schedule at the conservatory. The 2009 game feed will be
Saturday, February 21st and next year we hope to move it back to the 2nd
Saturday in February.
Game Meat: If you are considering donating wild game meat to the up coming
game feed pleased consider the following: (a) let Ron Bruno know as soon as
possible or no later than Feb. 1st; (b) what kind of wild game meat
it is (bear, moose, deer, etc.); (c) the amount needed is 60 lbs. For info contact Ron at 884-9369 Cell: 679-2359.
Game Feed Tickets: Game feed tickets will be available at the December meeting. Adult membership is $20.00, game feed ticket
will be $20.00. Youth membership will
be $15.00 and the game feed ticket $15.00.
Youth is considered is age 16 and under. Adult lifers must pay the $20.00 and youth lifers must pay $15.00
respectively for the 2009 game feed. A
great thought: game feed tickets would
make a great Christmas gift.
Game Feed Tickets
Non-transferable: Due to a host of problems
generated during the game feed, any game feed ticket purchased by an
individual, can only be used by that individual and cannot be given to anyone
else. This is a very important
item of business and needs to be fully understood and really just as it was
last year.
Lifetime Memberships: Reminder: As
approved in December of 2006 the lifetime membership is $500.00 which does
include a jacket.
New Gambling Law: According to the Gambling Commission Laws, any ticket that has
been altered such as bent, folded, or otherwise mutilated in any way can
not be accepted if drawn and must be thrown out. Again, this is just an extension of what
we had to do at last year’s game feed.
New
Home For Stanchions and Plywood: Thanks to
Jim and Joan Pritchard, the stanchions and plywood will have a new inside
storage sometime late this coming spring.
Many thanks to the Pritchard’s.
Special Thanks To Observe: December is a good month to note thank you’s and
appreciation. Many “thank you’s” are
posted around the club for all the good things that are being done for
wildlife. Unfortunately only a small
fraction of these “thank you’s” are getting to the people that should see them
so we will send it in the newsletter and please share. If it wasn’t for our wives and significant
others who allow us to go out and work for our wildlife, our projects would not
get completed.
Hour & Miles Donated: Ron Poppe say’s, “keep those hours and miles coming to him”. They keep adding up. His phone is 662-3957.
December Program: A mistake was made last month concerning Anthony Novack (WDFW
staff member). He will be our December
program talking about the reintroduction of wolves into Washington. The wolves are coming whether we like it or
not and Anthony is charged with the responsibility to speak to us about the
issue.
Little Big Horn Show
