General Meeting:Febuary 9, 2004 ,at Eagles Lodge - 5:00 pm

Banquet/Tickets:February 9 is our game feed. Doors open at 5:00pm. Get your tickets purchased and have a great meal and good fellowship, play the games and be a winner!

Menu:Ron Bruno and Tom Obregon are working hard with this years menu. They hope to please your appetites again this year.

Volunteers Needed:There will be a need for volunteers to help run the games and be miscellaneous helpers and receivers. Most of the help will be needed to clean up after dinner. Remember - "many hands make for small work."

Prizes For Games Played:: Matt Gutzwiler has tentatively assigned the following prizes for the games: Hat Raffle - 44 Ruger Blackhawk with case, New Lifetime Members - 270 Weatherby Rifle, Existing Lifetime Members - Leopold Spotting Scope, Dart Game - 17 HNR Rimfire or a 54 Caliber Knight Muzzleloader, Glass Raffle - 54 Caliber Knight Muzzleloader or a 17 HMR Rimfire, Card Game- Golden Boy, Other Card Game - Unknown At This Writing, Kids Ringtoss - 1022 Ruger, Kids Raffle - 243 Rifle. There will be a short live auction, silent auction and maybe some other minor changes.

Lifetime Memberships:This is a one time fee of $350. That does not include the cost of the annual game feed dinner ticket. There will be two Lifetime Member Raffles; one for existing Lifers and one for new members (there must be 4 new signees in order to have this raffle).

Sponsor Found:Gar Racus and Roland Gustafson have donated a rifle for the youth raffle. The club says "thank you" to others who may have been planning to sponsor one.

Banquets Coming Up:Ducks Unlimited banquet is March 6th at the Eagles Lodge. Doors open at 5:00pm. Ticket sale and contact person is Ernie McCart at 884-4485. The "Boss Toms" (NWTF) banquet is March 13th at the Eagles Lodge and doors open at 4:30pm. Ticket sales and contact person is Fred Barker at 662-5620.

Wallace Endowment:Grant applications are due in to Ron Fox's office by February 27th. For more information contact Ron Fox at 665-3383.

Department Report:Bob Perleberg reports - spring bear hunt is on page 43 of our current hunting pamphlet. There are some application deadlines to meet. Statewide freshwater lowland lake fishing opens in late April. You must report your hunting results regardless if you hunted or not. Page 7 of the hunting pamphlet walks you through the painless steps. Following is a list of WDFW meeting dates and locations: Feb. 6-7 Olympia, Mar. 12-13 Olympia, Apr. 2-3 Spokane, June 4-5 Olympia, Aug. 6-7 Olympia, Oct. 1-2 Olympia, Nov. 5-6 Wenatchee, Dec. 3-4 Southwest Washington. Thank You:Many thanks to Paul Fielder and Jeff Osborn for their program on the future installation of a power line from Rocky Reach to Monitor and the re-licensing of Rocky Reach Dam. There was a meeting Jan. 29th concerning wildlife and outdoor things in regard to re-licensing. There will be future meetings on the topics. You can contact Ron Bruno for more info on these meetings. Paul and Jeff both insisted hunters and fishermen be at these meetings. The issues of re-licensing could affect you and your outdoor activities. Get those game feed tickets purchased and show up for a great time. If you can't make the game feed, remember to get your 2004 membership dues paid as soon as possible.
