January Meeting:January 13, 2003 at 7:30 pm at the Eagles Lodge on 9th St.

Oyster Feed:There will be an "all you can eat" oyster feed at the Dryden Gun Club January 10. Contact Ron Jagla at 662-5929 for tickets. Money raised will go back into youth activities.

Game Feed 2003: February 10 is our game feed date. Doors open at 5:00pm. Tickets are still available at Rocky's, Valley Feed and One Shot. Ron Bruno (884-9369) and Gordy Goodwin (663-3620) are also selling tickets. Ticket prices are adult $35.00, youth (16 and under) $25.00 and lifetime members $20.00. Be sure to show your life membership card when buying your ticket.

Game Meat:Ron Bruno (884-9369) is still looking for some unusual wild game meat for additional dishes.

Games & Raffles:Along with our large general raffle we will be offering dice, dart and card games, hat raffle, silent auctions and juvenile and life time membership raffles.

Help Needed:As that old saying goes, "many hands make for small work". We need lots of people to work throughout Tuesday and as the late afternoon creeps upon us the tempo picks up. By 4:00pm help will be needed with kitchen details and others manning games. At 5:00pm the doors open and we are underway. By 9:30 reality hits home, the feed is over and clean up begins. With many working all day it is necessary for others to volunteer to help clean up - taking about 1 ½ hrs.

Lifetime Membership Raffle:Lifetime memberships are still available at $250.00. This is a one time fee. There will be two lifetime members raffles, one for existing life members who can purchase tickets for this raffle and the other will be for the new lifetime members but there must be five new ones to have this raffle.

Duck Cleaning:: Irv will need lots of help to clean ducks and geese on February 6. Cleaning will start at 6:00pm at 1725 N. Aurora (turn right on 18th just before 19th St. light on Sunset Highway). Call 884-3071.

Wallace Endowment Grant:Grant applications must be completed and submitted to Ron Fox by Feb. 23, 2003. If you have any questions call Ron Fox at 665-3383 or Larry Wadkins at 663-5870.

Department Reports:Beau Patterson, Tom McCall and Pete Lopushinsky want to pass on their many thanks to those who helped fill feeders this fall. Pete put in a special thanks to Chuck Largent who used his boat to ferry work party members to and from the feeder construction project in the lower Brushy Creek area. * Bob Perlegerg reports the 2003 licenses are available at licensing dealers and department offices. WDFW staff will share their alternatives to the next 3 year hunting seasons. The closest meeting sites are Wenatchee on Jan. 21 and Ellensburg Jan. 23. Locations will be announced later and times run from 7 - 9:00pm. The 2001 game harvest report are available at the department office. * Bob Perleberg is sharing a money saving thought with us. When our state legislature convenes in mid January, they will be looking for immediate funds to start reducing our 2 billion dollar state debt. All of our state agencies have been mandated to submit ways to reduce services and/or generate more revenue. A few proposed ideas are: increase hunting and fishing licenses, tags, fish record catch cards and decrease services and etc. If fees are increased and cuts made they could be put into effect immediately. Bob is saying, "you need to purchase your 2003 - 04 hunting and fishing licenses now, before the costs go up." You don't need to purchase your tags or "special hunts" now because you will be locked in at the current fees. If you have any questions contact Bob at 662-0459.

Program Thank You:To those who shared their trophies with us at the Little Big Horn Show, we thank you. Perhaps a special thanks should go to Dan Yedinak for bringing in several antlers and horns. The related hunting stories are great too.

January Program:Bill Boyer will talk to us about his bow making business. In the future, Matt Modda (WDFW) would like to talk to us about the Steven's Ranch. And at another meeting date the Nature Conservency group would like to make a presentation.

Last Years Game Feed Questionnaire:At the 2002 game feed, you were asked to fill out a questionnaire. Unfortunately, the club inadvertently threw all but 6 of them away. At the 2003 game feed we will again ask you to fill out the questionnaire and this time they will be collected and tabulated and the results will be gotten out to the membership.
