Game Meat:We are looking for any donated wild game for our annual game feed coming up in February. If you would like to donate or know of someone who would, contact Ron Bruno at 884-9369 or Ivr Garney at 884-3071. Our freezer is located at 1570 Tedford St. in East Wenatchee. It is accessible 24 hours a day. You may also contact George at 884-5359.

Lifetime Memberships:We offer and welcome lifetime memberships. The cost is a one-time fee of $250.00.

Wallace Endowment Grant:There is money available for wildlife improvements on public or private lands. The money can be used to build bird feeders and / or do spring improvements. Contact Larry Wadkins at 663-5870.

Recuperating:Ernie McCart's wife is recovering very nicely from open heart surgery. Ernie is very pleased with her recovery.

Keeping In Our Prayers:Joe Paschall is recovering from a blood clot in his lungs. You may want to send a card or letter to his home at 4294 Jim Miller Rd., Wenatchee, WA 98801. Let's pray he has a speedy recovery.

Desert Unit Count:Jim Taber, with the Ephrata office will be doing the annual desert unit buck count. If interested meet at the Winchester Waste Way and Dodson Road parking lot November 17th at 8:00am. Any questions contact Jim at 509-754-4624 or 509-765-1073. Four wheelers have been used in the past.

Department Report:Tom McCall and Randy Hein have finished the mountain goat survey. Their last survey was in the Nason Ridge, Chewawa, Napeequa (White River) areas. They counted 14 adults and 2 kids. Tom is still planning to fill feeders November 7th. Meet at the Game Department office at 8:00 am with a lunch, scoop shovel, personal gear, plastic to seal your pickup box and 5 gallon pails. Contact Tom at 665-3399. Pete Lopushinsky will need volunteers to fill feeders starting November 13th either in the Tarpiscan or Lower Colockum and a second day in the opposite area. Come prepared as listed with Tom's group. He could use some help removing deer fencing around the headquarters. Contact Pete at 663-6260. Bob Perleberg reports it is mandatory to report the harvest or non-harvest of deer, elk, bears and turkeys. There is a toll free number or website on the back of your license. The same information is on page 7 in the hunter pamphlet . You will not be issued a new license until such information is reported. Page 7 also list incentives if you report early. There will be white fishing on the Wenatchee River starting December 7th. Check the fishing pamphlet. On page 26 of the hunter pamphlet the following units in Chelan County will be closed to youth and disabled hunters. The units are: 243 Manson, 244 Clark, 245 Chiwawa, 246 Slide Ridge and 247 Entiat.

"Little Big Horn Show":
Little Big Horn Show:December will be our Little Big Horn Show. We will be looking forward to viewing many fine heads and horns. The hunting stories are appreciated also. Bring a friend and come to the meeting to enjoy the displays.

Program:Neal Hedges who works for Bureau of Land Management will speak to us on bats. If the numbers given are correct, there are about 13 different species of bats that live in the Jamison Lake area.
