General Meeting:  September 11, 2006   -  7:00pm             Cedars Inn Motel, East Wenatchee (Traffic light @ corner of Hwy 28 & 9th St.)

 

Here We Are Again - Welcome Sportsmen, To Another Year Of Outdoor Activities and Fellowship

 

New Meeting Time 7:00pm:  A decision was made last spring to start our meetings at 7:00pm instead of 7:30.  This will allow our program speakers and others an earlier start home.  It also falls in line with most meetings that start at 7:00pm.

 

Temporary Meeting Site:  Our monthly meetings will continue at the Cedars Inn until further notice.  We are looking for a larger meeting facility so, if you know of such, call Bill Stegeman (663-7529) and it will be checked out.  Our Executive Board meetings will continue at Matt Gutzwilers.

 

Game Feed:  Our 2007 game feed will be February 12th.  The 2007 site is Apple Annie’s in Cashmere.  We will be serving wild game as usual.  This is the only site large enough to accommodate our size and also prepare the meal.  At last report the cooking will be done at the BBQ place in Cashmere.

 

Meat Cutters  and Freighted Game Meat:  Ron is looking for phone numbers of individuals he can call when meat is ready to cut.  Also he needs a list of individuals he could call in case he is at work and has to have someone available to be present for meat delivery.  Any way you can assist please give Ron a call (884-9369).

 

Early Call For Game Meat:  Ron Bruno, as always, is looking for wild game meat.  There are coolers at Neil Fulwiler (663-9076) and Ron Bruno (884-9369) as well as at George Komro, located at 1570 Tedford (884-5359).

 

Web Page:  Our web page is still functioning well.  To log on, type in   www.ncwoutdoors.com and click down to our club information.  Ron Bruno welcomes any outdoor activity information for the web page.

 

Department Report:  Amy reports any hunting related concerns will be in effect when the newsletter comes out.  She did stress being extra careful with fire issues – camp fire and auto exhaust systems – and always seek permission to hunt on private property.

 

Game Feed Meeting:  Gene Robard (662-6277) is off and running with the 2007 game feed.  He has scheduled a meeting Tuesday, September 5th at Abby’s West.  We can always use new blood, old blood and lots of new ideas.  Come join us and help our 2007 feed be a success.  A new site, a new adventure is awaiting us.

 

Meeting Dates: Mark your calendars for the following meeting dates: Oct. 9, Nov. 13, Dec. 11, Jan 8, Feb. 12 which is the Game Feed, Mar. 12, Apr. 9, May 14 and June 11.  Reminder:  Meetings will start at 7:00pm, not 7:30!!

 

Program:  Tom McCall or Beau Patterson will update us on the “hunting prospects” for fall  and winter.  Bring a friend and come join us.
